Welcome
The nonprofit Rocky Mountain Center for Sustainable Urbanism began as a small group of people from the fields of architecture, landscape architecture and planning and has grown into broad-based, trans-disciplinary group that now includes a variety of social, scientific, and public health professionals.

The goal of the Center is to create a common ground and common language between public health professionals and urban designers to enable the creation of places that promote healthy lifestyles as well as achieve economic, social and environmental sustainability.  This shared, unified philosophy advances true sustainability in urban design by promoting the public health aspects of the design of public spaces along with the traditional goals of good urban design.
